Donald B. Robertson was an associate and partner in the firm between 1963 and 1971, engaged in an individual practice between 1971 and 1989, and rejoined the firm in 1989.  He concentrates his practice in estate planning, estate and trust administration, and related tax and real estate matters.  As a part of his practice, Mr. Robertson was Board Counsel to the Montgomery County (Maryland) Board of Elections from 1995 to 2003 and, as such, represented and advised the Board in connection with election law, governmental process, and a variety of other issues.  He continues to advise clients regarding state and local government in Maryland.  He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, the Bar Association of the District of Columbia, and the Maryland, Montgomery County, American, and Federal Bar Associations.

Mr. Robertson was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 1970, re-elected in 1974, 1978, 1982, and 1986, and resigned in 1989.  He served as Majority Leader from 1979 to 1987 and as Speaker Pro Tem from 1987 to 1989.
