Raymond L. Gooch concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and real estate contract law.  He received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Washington University, St. Louis, MO, where he was elected to the Tau Beta Pi and Omicron Delta Kappa honorary societies.  At Georgetown University, Mr. Gooch served on the Georgetown Law Journal.  A member of the Bar of Virginia and the District of Columbia, prior to entering private practice he was a counsel to the Committee on Appropriations of the U.S. House of Representatives, Secretary of the Committee on Intellectual Property of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and Counsel to the Joint Committee on Congressional Operations of the U.S. Congress. 

Mr. Gooch entered private practice in 1975 as a founding partner of the Law Offices of Davis and Gooch and has been a contract partner with his present firm since 2001.  While in practice, Mr. Gooch served as an elected member of the Town Council of Washington, VA for eleven years.
