Richard S. T. Marsh is a founding member of the District of Columbia law firm of Ross, Marsh & Foster.  Admitted to the D.C. Bar in 1948 and the Maryland Bar in 1956, he has been actively engaged in the private practice of law for over 58 years.  He served on the Committee on Admissions of the D.C. Court of Appeals from 1977-1984, and has been a member of the D.C. and D.C. Circuit judicial conferences.  Most of his practice has been devoted to real estate, not-for-profit entity, estate planning, taxation, and trusts and estates areas of the law.  He has served on the steering committee of the Estates, Trust and Probate Law Section of the D.C. Bar, the Probate Rules Advisory Committee of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, and has participated as a lecturer in D.C. Bar-sponsored CLE seminars.  He is a member of the American Law Institute and the D.C. Estate Planning Council and is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
